BE A HEDGEHOG HERO
• Find out what you can do to help our declining hedgehog population, from putting out food and water, to creating Hedgehog Highways connecting gardens in your local community.
BE A SWIFT
BOXER
• Help our declining swift population by installing a swift box (or two) on a suitable wall of your home/school/office.
ADOPT-A-VERGE
• If you have a suitable verge outside your home, plant wildflower seeds to help bees and other pollinators. And if you don’t have a verge, plant a wildflower area in your garden.
BE A CITIZEN SCIENTIST
• Our River Evenlode is designated ‘poor ecological status’. Citizen Scientists learn how to monitor the river water and feed back scientific data, but there’s also a lot we can all do to help by making small changes at home.
